BARCLAYS PHYSICAL SECURITY TEAM – CHARITY GOLF DAY – SUPPORTING THE AFGHAN TRUST

Belated Entry:

David Rees was responsible for organising an outstanding Golf day on the 6th July at Stoneleigh Deer Park Golf Club. The weather was outrageous with storms bellowing throughout the day; however the sun did come out on completion of the competition.

This was followed by an auction which raised a substantial amount. There were 17 Teams who participated in this event with following results: (The CEO paid £5 for an apple)

The winning team: Associated Security Limited.

The Runners up: Insafe.

Nearest the Pin: Richard Butcher from Insafe.

 Longest Drive:   Richard Surdo from Age Concern.

Funds raised were in excess of £2500 which will be matched by the Barclays Pound for Pound scheme.

The success of the event was due to an outstanding turnout of players and with the help of both Rachael and Sandra who contributed so much to this event.

The thanks of the Chairman and Trustees go out to David and all those involved in what was a very wet but fantastic day.
